1765 Joseph Pancoast and Abraham Scott, perhaps this one, witnessed the will of Joseph Pearson of Burlington. [7]
1769 Abraham Scott of Burlington, perhaps this one, reported that a horse had been stolen from him. [8]
1770 The will of Jonathan Curtis, dated October 15, made bequests to the children of his brothers and sisters, including the children of Ann Scott. [9]
1772 Abraham Scott and wife Patience were condemned on 7 of month 12, for marrying out of unity. [10] [11]
1773 The will of widow Ann Pancoast of Mansfield Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey, was dated December 22, 1769 and was proved on May 24, 1773. Son, Thomas Pancoast, my great bible. My daughters, Grace Shreve, wife of Caleb Shreve, and Thomasin Bowne, wife of Philip Bowne, my apparel. Rest of my estate: to daughter Grace Shreve, ¼ part, to children of my daughter Tryphena Smith, wife of Samuel Smith, ¼ part, to children of my daughter Ann Scott, late wife of Abraham Scott, ¼ part, and to daughter, Thomasin Bowne, ¼ part. Executors sons-in-law Caleb Shreve and Philip Bowne. Witnesses Joseph Ellison, John Ellis. [12]
1776 Abraham and Patience Scott were listed with six children (through Bethuel) as members of the Burlington Meeting. [13]
1777 Abigail Scott was born on 6 of month 9, to Abraham and Patience Scott. [14]
Abraham Scott, son of Thomas Scott, and his second wife, Patience, daughter of Thomas Rogers, were members of the Burlington Monthly Meeting, along with children Bethuel, Ann, Abigail, Thomas, Patience, and Rebecca Scott. [15] [16] [17]
1784 Leah Scott, daughter of Abraham Scott of Burlington County, married John Aronson Woolman on February 19, at Burlington Meeting. Witnessed by Thomas Page and Alice Page (perhaps Alice Page was Leah's sister) and Ann Page (relationship unknown but perhaps Leah's sister Anne married a Page), and others. [18] [19]
1785 Abraham Scott, perhaps this one, and John Rogers made the inventory for the estate of John Gallagher of Burlington County. Dated April 30. [20]
1785 Rebecah Scott was born on 3 of month 11, to Abraham and Patience Scott. [21]
1806 Thomas Scott, son of Abraham and Patience Scott, of Burlington Twp, married Mary Smith at Mansfield Twp, Burlington County on May 14. Witnessed by Patience and Abraham Scott and others. [22]
1810 Abraham Scott and wife Patience were granted a certificate Mt Holly. [23]
1817 The will of son Bethuel Scott of Mansfield Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey was dated March 13 and proved April 21. Named were mother Patience Scott, brother Thomas, sisters Elizabeth Wharton, Grace Talbert, Leah Woolman and several nieces and nephews. John A Woolman was named executor. [24]
1817 Abraham Scott was buried on 18 of month 12, at Burlington, last residence at Mount Holly. [25] [26]
1819 Patience Scott, widow of Abraham Scott late of Northampton Twp, Burlington County, and other heirs sold land to John Tomlinson. The heirs were John Woolman and wife Leah, Elizabeth Walton, Grace Talbert, Abraham Scott and his wife Mercy Scott, Thomas Scott, Mary Scott, Charleton Barnes and wife Patience, Joshua Todd and wife Rebecca. Abraham Scott had purchased the land from John and Susanna Folwell on 13 of month 7, 1811. [27]
1819 The same parties sold land to William Hillyard on the first day of the third month, 1819. [28]
1822 Patience Scott died on 11 of month 3, at Mount Holly and was buried at Burlington. [29]
Research Notes:
There were several lists of children born to Abraham Scott, with incomplete and conflicting reports about the names of the mothers. Abraham's first wife was named Ann, likely Ann Pancoast. Patience Rogers was Abraham's second wife. In some lists, the first three children were listed as children of Patience Rogers. We show the children named as heirs in the 1819 deed with widow Patience Scott.

Abraham Scott, son of Thomas Scott, his 2nd wife, Patience, daughter of Thomas Rogers, their children named Bethuel Scott, Ann Scott, Abigail Scott, Thomas Scott, Patience Scott, and Rebecca Scott were members of the Burlington Monthly Meeting. In 1810, they were granted a certificate to Mt Holly meeting. [41]
1786-1803 The children of John Aronson Woolman and Leah Woolman were named. Leah was named as the daughter ot Abraham and Ann Scott. [42] [43]
Lewis D Cook reports "Ann Pancoast, daughter of Thomas and Ann (Curtis) Pancoast of Mansfield Township, married Abraham Scott, as his first wife. He died intestate in Mount Holly, Burlington County, 18 December 1817. He married, secondly, out of Friends Meeting, 1770, Patience Rogers (died in Mount Holy, 11 March 1822), and had further issue. Children of Abraham and Ann (Pancoast) Scott, according to records of Burlington Monthly Meeting: ... Leah ... Elizabeth ... Grace." [46] [47]
