Morris H. Rivir, 78, of Huntington died at 11:10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana in Fort Wayne. Mr. Rivir had been a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association, Huntington Township Farm Bureau Association and a 4-H leader. He was born July 11, 1925, in Wabash County to Orvin and Cleora (Brown) Rivir. He graduated in 1943 from Chippewa High School. On March 5, 1950, in Mt. Etna, he married Kathryn Anderson. She survives. Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Kent and Theresa Rivir of LaOtto and Chris and Michelle Rivir of Warren; a daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Larry Goken of Huntington; eight grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lowell, and a sister, Verda Eastridge. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington, with the Rev. Larry Ray officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery, Marion.
