Research Notes:

The 1749 immigration record date is inconsistent with earlier records in Pennsylvania.

1726 Peter Bowman was born in September. [1]

1740's Peter Bowman moved to the Muddy Creek area of Brecknock Twp, Lancaster County. [2]

Peter Bowman married three times.

Peter Bowman married, second, Ann Speigel and had five children. [3]

Peter Bowman married, third, Elizabeth, who was named in his will. [4]

1749 Peter Bauman immigrated to Philadelphia on September 9, on the ship Saint Andrew, James Abercrombie, Master. [5] [6] [7]

1806 Peter Bowman's will, written in German, in Robeson Twp, Berks County, on April 3, 1806 and probate January 5, 1807, gives the plantation of 108 acres for 1280 pounds and the woodland in the hills for 89 pounds to Johannes. Wife Elizabeth is provided for. Christian gets 6 pounds for his birthright. The estate is divided into 10 equal parts and the children were named as follows: Christian, Abraham, Peter, Johannes, Samuel, Henrich, David, Barbara, Anna, and children of dau. Susanna. If dau. Susanna leaves husband she shall have the interest till the children are of age. Witnessed by Joseph Bauman and John Ziemer. [8] [9]

Elizabeth was buried at Kitchener Mennonite Cemetery.
