Clarence was a logger in western Washington. The Edwin Schafer family visited Clarence when Jack Schafer was small. Clarence was living in Snoqualmie Falls, Washington, in 1931.

1901 Clarence Hinkle was born on August 11. [1]

1920 In the U.S. census, Clarence R. Hinkle (age 18) was a lodger on Pine Street in Potlatch, Latah County, Idaho. He was a brakeman with W. I. & M. Ry. He was born in Minnesota, his father was born in Missouri, and his mother was born in Ireland. [2]

1924 On 21 July, Clarence R. Hinkle and Edna Amelia Ward were married in Moscow, Idaho. [3]

1938 Clarence and Edna were divorced on October 1. She and Austin N. Cogburn were married on October 31 in Port Townsend, Washington. Clarence's second wife was Lela Fox.

1969 Clarence Hinkle died on December 23 in Sultan, Snohomish County, Washington. [4] Clarence Hinkle was buried at Mount Si Memorial Cemetery, North Bend, King County, Washington. [5]
