1549-1551 Mathew Hulcocke and Amy were married.

1552 "Margaret Hulcocke [was] chr. 4th August" in Cossington, Leicestershire, England. [3]

1553 Anthony Hulcocke, son of Matthew Hulcocke, [was] chr. 11th September" in Cossington, Leicestershire, England. [4]

1557 Mathew Hulcocke wrote his will on July 9. [5]

In dei nom Amen The ixth day of July 1557 I, Mathew Hulcocke of Cossington, husbandman, commit my soul to our lord Jesu Christ to our lady St. Mary and to all the holy company of heaven and my body to be buried in the churchyard of Cossington I bequeath to my mother church of Lincoln ijd and to the high alter of Cossington xijd I bequeath to my eldest son Wyllm Hulcocke when he is the age of 21 years horses and a cart in as good order as I leave them to till and occupy his farm with also all the heir looms belonging to the house And whosoever shall marry my wife shall be bounden to waste no timber that groweth about my ground I bequeath to my son John my house in which John Alsoppe lives when the Alsoppe's tenancy expires But the rent of that house the rent of the barn standing on the same ground ij pices of meadow in Sileby Holme and half an acre of land in every field shall be divided between my son Wyllm to make a stock with and my son John until Wyllm comes into his lands when John shall have it all To each of my two daughters I bequeath v marks and all the brass and pewter that was their mothers and their cattle shall be given them perfect I bequeath to Anthony my son a black calf The residue of my goods I bequeath to Amye my wife and the occupation of my farm for ten years and I make her my executrix with Thomas Taylor who shall have iijs iiijd and his costs And my supervisors shall be John Butler who shall have xijd and Walter Roynson who shall have iijs iiijd

1566 In a feoffment dated 4th March, "Hugh Hollyns of Mesley, Co. Stafford, gent." granted to "Thomas Babington of Cossington, Leicester, esq." [9]

part of the Manor of Cossington with the appurtenances situated in Cossington, and part of the watermill in Cossington in the tenure of William Bardall. Also the annual rent of 4½d. from the land of Francis Willowbye, esq., situated in Cossington now in the occupation of Christopher Harker. Also the rent of 2/7 earning from the Mesne land, and the tenement of William Hillbroke, now in the tenure of Robert Wreste. Also the annual capital rent of 4½d. with the appurtenance from the tenement of Mychael Chamberlyne now in the occupation of Peter Palmer. Term: Forever. Clause of Warranty. Consideration: The performance and completion of a deed.

1571 "William Hulcocke and Agnes Wraske" were married "30th November" in Cossington, Leicestershire, England. [10]

1575 Robert Wraste wrote his will on September 8. [11]

In the name of God Amen The viijth day of September 1575 I Robert Wreste of Cossington co. Leic. bequeath my soul to Almighty God and my body to be buried in the churchyard I will that sll my goods and chattels be divided into two parts between William Hulcocke my son-in-law and my eldest son William Wreste whom I make my executors Before my goods are divided my little amblin nag shall be given to my youngest son Thomas Wreste Also I will that out of my whole goods both in the house and without shall be paid to Anthony Hulcocke vli And my daughter Eme Hulcocke shall have iijli vjs viijd within one year of my death I bequeath to the writer hereof iijs iiijd I give to John Hulse whom I make my supervisor iijs iiijd I will that my eldest son William Wreste shall have the occupying of the lands and ground that I have of Mr. Babington this year next ensueing I give Joyce my daughter living in Gaulby ij sheep and to her daughter Margaret iij sheep and to John Abel ij sheep.
