1850 Jacob Wise (age 26, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Williamsport, Washington County, Maryland, in a household with Elizabeth Wise (age 26), Sarah Catharine Wise (age 2), and Susan Foreman (age 13). Jacob Wise was a mill wright. [1]

1857 Elizabeth Foreman Wise died on January 17 at age 32y 8m 5d and was buried at Broadfording Cemetery, Washington County, Maryland. Elizabeth Foreman Wise was born on August 12, 1824. [2] [3]

1860 Jacob Wise died on January 3 at age 35y 10m 14d and was buried at Broadfording Cemetery, Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland. [4] [5]

1860 Mary E Wise (age 9, born in Maryland) lived in Southampton Twp, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Peter Foreman (age 27), Mary Foreman (age 31), and Sydney Foreman (age 7/12). [6]

1870 Elizabeth Wise (age 21, born in Maryland) lived in Antrim, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Andrew Wise (age 29) [perhaps Elizabeth's uncle], Susan Wise (age 26), Calvin Wise (age 5), John Wise (age 4), Elizabeth Wise (age 2), Beatty Sites (age 18), David Wise (age 17), and George Ellet (age 11). 1873 The birth of Henry Oliver Wise, son of Elizabeth Wise has been reported.

1877 Mary A Wise and Willoughby Butterbaugh were married on February 22 in Carroll County, Illinois. [8]

1877 The birth of twin daughters has been reported for this couple.

1877 Mary reportedly died on June 16, 1877 and was buried in Shannon, Carroll County, Illinois. No Findagrave memorial has been found.

1900 Willoughby Puterbaugh (born in Maryland in Dec 1843, widowed), boarder, lived in Cherry Grove, Carroll County, Illinois, in a household with Henry Martin (age 73), Susan Martin (age 67), and Bessie M Frey (age 20). Willoughby Puterbaugh's father was born in Pennsylvania and his mother was born in Maryland. Willoughby Puterbaugh was a farm laborer. [9]

1935 Willoughby Puterbaugh died on December 18 and was buried at Plainview Cemetery, Mount Morris, Ogle County, Illinois. Willoughby Puterbaugh was born on December 9, 1843. [10]

Research Notes:

There was another Jacob Wise who died in 1860 in Washington County, Maryland. No records have been found for Jacob, spouse of Elizabeth.

1860 Letters of admnistration were issued for the estate of Jacob Wise, spouse of Melinda, in Washington County, Maryland. [11] [12] [13]

1824 Jacob Weiss, son of Jacob Weiss and Maria, was born on April 29. He was baptized on July 11 at St Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chanceford Twp, York County. [14]

1850 Jacob Wise (age 26, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Chanceford Twp, York County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Jacob Wise (age 79), Mary Wise (age 63), Rebecca Wise (age 19), and Sarah E Wise (age 0). Jacob Wise was a farmer. [15]
