c 1688 Jacob Neff was born in Dühren, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. [1]

1717 In August, Jacob Neff arrived in Pennsylvania. [2]

Jacob Neff and his wife Catherine were Swiss Mennonites who emigrated from Bonn, Germany. They later became Brethren. They had 9 children.

1718 Jacob Neff was taxed at Coventry Twp, Chester County, Pennsylvania. [3]

1718 Jacob Neff requested a survey for 200 acres on the west side of the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia County on 15 Feb 1718 which was sold and patented to John Martin Funk. He lived near Pottstown, Pennsylvania along the Schuylkill River. [4]

1740 Jacob Neff moved to Frederick County, Maryland. He was a farmer and blacksmith. [5]

1746 Nephew Dr. Hans Heinrich Neff bought land near Jacob Neff in Frederick County, Maryland. Jacob Neff was a Mennonite. Jacob Neff bought a title to"Hedge Hogg" from Rebecca Hedges for 127/10 pounds for "his own use and no other purpose". Some evidence says he may have died in Prince George's County. [6]

1751 Jacob Neff died in 1751 in Frederick County (now Washington County), Maryland. [7]

1776 Catherine Neff died in 1776. [8]
