1850 David Wise (age 51, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Madison Twp, Richland County, Ohio, in a household with Margaret Wise (age 44), Henry Wise (age 10), Sarah Wise (age 7), Henry Eberly (age 25), and Azier Walford (age 19). [1]

1860 David Wise (age 63, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Mansfield Twp, Richland County, Ohio, in a household with Margaret Wise (age 54), Sarah Wise (age 16), and Frank Wise (age 8). [2]

1870 David Wise (age 71, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Mansfield Ward 4, Richland County, Ohio, in a household with Margaret Wise (age 65), Henry Wise (age 29), Sarah Wise (age 24), and Frank Wise (age 18). David Wise's occupation was justice of peace. [3]

1875 David Wise died on November 19 and was buried at Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio. David Wise was born on February 1, 1799. [4] A biosketch reports:

Married Ann Margaret Weaver on October 31, 1823 in Carlisle, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. David Wise was a sheriff, a justice of the peace, and one time had a livery stable. Seven children were born to David and Ann Margaret Weaver Wise: Ann Margaret (Bossler)(b: 1825) John Wise (b:1829) Susana (b: 1831) Henry Wise (b:1841) Sarah Wise (Jennings) (b:1844 )Phebe (b: 1847) Frank Wise (b:1852)

1876 The will of David Wise, of Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio, was produced by witnesses H.C. Hedges and Henry Wise. The will was dated February 6, 1872 and was proved on January 11, 1876. The estate was divided half to son Henry and half to the wife. Upon the death of the widow, her half was to be divided as: $50 was for the daughter of son John, and the remainder into 5 parts with 2 parts for son Frank and one part to each daughter. [5]

1861 A different David Wise died on November 12, 1861, at age 61y 10m 16d, and was buried at Spring Mill Cemetery Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio. [6]
