Research Notes:
The Purefoy pedigree in Lipscomb's History and Antiquities of the County of Buckingham starts with William Purefoy of Misterton, co. Leicester, living in 1312 and 1344, and shows for him a son Phillip Purefoy of Misterton in 1368 and Church Over, co. Warwick, married to Margaret, daughter and heiress of Sir John de Shirford of Shirford, co. Warwick, circa 9 Edward II. [1]
