1860 Henry Hosler and wife Lydia lived in Congress Twp, Morrow County, Ohio with children Jacob (age 17), J[ulia] (age 16), Susan (age 15), Mary A (age 13), and Geo. W. (age 11), Catharine (age 8), Joanna (age 6), James H (age 1), and Lydia A (age 1). [1]

1870 Henry and Lydia Hosler lived in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana with children George (age 21), Catherine (age 18), Joann (age 15), Lydia A. (age 10), and James (age 10), all born in Ohio. [2]

1873 Joeanna Hosler and Peter Alexander Reed were married on November 2, 1873 at Noble County, Indiana. [3]

1880 Henry Hosler (age 62) was a farmer living in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana with his wife Lydia (61) and children Joann (23), Lydia A. (21), and Henry (James?) (21). Edward Reed was Joanna's son. [4]

1881 Joanna Hosler (Reed?) married John Wesley Gaff on November 13, 1881 at Noble County, Indiana. [5]

1894 John Gaff was buried on May 2, at the Christian Chapel Cemetery in Noble County. [6]

1895 Johanna Gaff married Oliver Green on February 2, 1895, at Noble County, Indiana. [7]

1898 Dennis E Reed and Esther Oliver were married on December 11 in Indiana. Dennis E Reed was a son of Joann Hestler. [8]

1900 Joanna and Oliver Green lived in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana. Three step-sons lived with them. The ages suggest they were children of John Gaff, but they were adopted and were listed with the name Green in the census. [9] [10]

1903 Grover Gaff, single, died on November 4, at age 19, in Montpelier, Blackford County, Indiana. He was born in Noble County, Indiana, son of John Gaff and Joanna Gaff. [11] [12] [13] [14]

1909 Albion News: "Mrs. Oliver Green, of South of this city, returned home last evening from Marion, where she had been a guest in the home of Eli River. Mrs. River, who was a sister of Mrs. Green, was taken seriously ill, which resulted in her death. The remains were brought to Albion on last evening's train and taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. Oliver Green." [15] [16]

1910 Joanna Green (age 55) and Oliver Green (age 73) lived in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana. Joanna had had 5 children, all living. [17] [18]

1915 An obituary for Joanna states: "Green Joanna (Hosler) was born May 5, 1854 and died February 14, 1915, aged 60 years, 7 months and 9 days. She married John Wesley Gaff November 10, 1881 and he died May 9, 1894. On February 1, 1895 she married Oliver J. Green, who survives. She was the mother of 5 children: Ed, Milo, Grover, Leo and Levi, all surviving but Grover, who died November 3, 1903. She was a member of the Christian Church at Merriam where obsequies were held February 17. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. 2-14-1915".

1915 Joanna Hosler Green was buried at the Christian Chapel Cemetery in Noble County near her parents. [19] [20]
Obituary:

Green Joanna (Hosler) was born May 5, 1854 and died February 14, 1915, aged 60 years, 7 months and 9 days. She married John Wesley Gaff November 10, 1881 and he died May 9, 1894. On February 1, 1895 she married Oliver J. Green, who survives.

She was the mother of 5 children: Ed, Milo, Grover, Leo and Levi, all surviving but Grover, who died November 3, 1903. She was a member of the Christian Church at Merriam where obsequies were held February 17. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. 2-14-1915.

1920 Oliver Green (age 82) lived with his daughter Lizzie Howenstein (age 59) in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana. [21]

1922 Oliver Green, widowed, died on December 7, at age 85, in Albion, Noble County, Indiana. He was born on April 6, 1837, in Ohio, son of Hesikiah Green. [22] Oliver Green was buried at the Christian Chapel Cemetery in Noble County. [23] [24]

1937 Peter Reed's obituary states: "Reed Peter A, son of William and Caroline Reed, was born in Noble County Aug. 27, 1855 and died June 25, 1937 at the home of his daughter, Cora at Cromwell, Indiana. Surviving are the widow, Nellie J. (Bartley); 2 daughters, Mrs. Icy Smoyer of Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. Cora Hossinger of Cromwell; and 3 sons, Dennis E. and Frank of Churubusco, and Walter of Albion; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Stacey of Augusta, Kansas. One daughter, Mrs. Hazel Hossinger, preceded him in death. He had spent most of his life in this county with the exception of a few years in the west. For a number of years he operated general stores at Burr Oak and Lisbon. He retired following a serious illness six years ago. Funeral was held at Miser Funeral Home at Albion. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. + 6-?-1937".

1946 Dennis E Reed, married, spouse of Cecil Reed, died on September 16, at age 72, in Garrett, De Kalb County, Indiana. He was born on March 28, 1874, in Noble Co Ind, son of Peter A Reed and Johanna Reed. [25] [26] [27]

1958 Leo Harvey Gaff, married, died on March 13, at age 68, in Auburn, De Kalb County, Indiana. He was born on May 4, 1889, in Noble County Ind, son of John Gaff and Joanna Gaff. [28] [29] [30] [31]

1958 Levi Arby Gaff, married, spouse of Leva Gaff, died on December 6, at age 68, in Albion, Noble County, Indiana. He was born on May 4, 1889, in Hoble Co Ind, son of John W Gaff and Goomer Gaff. [32] [33] [34]

1958 Levi Arby Gaff died on December 6 and was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, Noble County, Indiana. Levi Arby Gaff was born on May 4, 1889. [35] [36]
