1840 On 14 April, David Light and Sarah Page were married in Clermont County, Ohio.  1840 David Light was listed in an account book for the H & S Bainum store in Laurel, Ohio.  1845 On 12 April, David Light, perhaps the father of this David Light, dated his will in Clermont County, Ohio. It was proved in August 1845. All property was bequeathed to wife Sarah and 6 children. Son George S Light and William Light were named executor. 1849 Stephen Grissom, Sarah Jane Page's future husband), and Henry Grissom were brothers and own land jointly. Henry died 20 Aug 1847 intestate and left widow Caroline in Butler County, Ohio.  1850 David Light (age 33) and Sarah Light (age 31) lived in Mississinawa, Darke County, Ohio with children John P (age 8), Caroline L (age 6), Amanda A (age 5), Frances R (age 3), and Mary H (age 0), all born in Ohio. Stephen K Grissom (age 39) lived in Missinawa Twp, Darke Co with family.  1857 Land of the heirs of D Light was shown in section 33 of Missinawa Twp, Darke County, Ohio. SW (perhaps Stephen) Grissom had land nearby in sections 14 and 15.  1860 Stephen Grissam (age 49) and Sarah Grissom (age 41) lived in Missinawa, Darke County, Ohio with children William Grissam (age 22), Esther J Grissam (age 15) Cornelia L Grissam (age 4), David M Grissam (age 3), and with John Leight (age 18), Caroline Leight (age 16), Rebecca Leight (age 13), and Arabella Leight (age 8), Sarah's children by her first marriage. The other children from Sarah's first marriage lived with Sarah's parents in Clermont County, Ohio.  1888 On 22 January, S M Grissom died at age 77 in Darke County, Ohio.  He was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery.  1900 Sarah Grisson, born June 1819, lived with her daughter Amanda A (age 55) and son-in-law John G Vanwickle (age 52) in Missinawa, Darke County, Ohio. She was widowed and the mother of 10 children, 8 of whom were living.  1907 Mrs. Sarah Grissom, age 83, of near Lightsville, mother of J.P. Light, died recently. Funeral at Rosehill cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.
