Notes for William Davis

1791 The account of the estate of Isaac Ivins [father of Mary Davis] named his 32 living children and grand-children, including Mary Davis, and her ten children: Isaac Davis, Ann Davis (now wife of Jn Ely), Mary (now the wife of Jos. Rockhill), Merope (now the wife of Jn Bransen), Jonathan Davis, William Davis, Hannah (now the wife of D. Silvers), Abby (now the wife of Chas Robbins), Job Davis, Ivins Davis, each of whom received 1/32 share of the estate. 1803 William Davis and wife Mary sold land to John Branson, all of New Hanover Twp, Burlington County. William Davis had purchased one tract from Thomson Neale and the other tract from Jonathan Davis. The deed was dated March 25. William Davis and Jonathan Davis were, perhaps, brothers-in-law of John Branson. [2]

1808 William Davis sold land to Thomas Starkey, both of Mansfield Twp, Burlington County. The deed was dated October 18, 1808. [3]

1812 William Davis and John Branson presented the account of Mary Davis, wife of William Davis, deceased, to the Burlington County Orphans' Court. Payments were received from Aron Ivins and were made to Charles Robins, among others. The first transaction was dated April 15, 1801. Dated November 3, 1812. [4]
