d. At her residence 174 Sydney St., Saint John, 18th inst., Fanny Stewart relict of James Stewart, 86th year. Funeral Wednesday 2 o'clock. D.T. Dec. 23 - 'Remininsces' m. March 2nd, 1820, by Rev. Robert Willis, James Stewart to Miss Fanny Smith youngest d/o late Nathan Smith, M.D., all of St. John. Mrs. Stewart was the last of the second generation of Nathan Smith. He died at his residence Lower Cove, Dec. 23rd, 1818 in his 81st year. His widow, the mother of Mrs. Stewart, in 1826 married Sheriff Bates of Kings Co. After his death in 1842, she returned to the old homestead, Lower Cove and died in Dec. 1864, age 95.
