1735 William Meakins, son of Thomas Meakins, was baptized at St Peters, South Weald, Essex, England. "Baptism for the year 1735 ... May 18 William son of Thomas Meakins of Hou Hatch." [1]

1766 William Meakins and Rebecca Alexander were married on 10 April in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex, England. [2]

(The Year 1766.) William Meakins of this Parish and Rebecca Alexander of the same were Married in this Church by Banns this tenth Day of April in the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Six by me Robert Speed Vicar. This Marriage was Solemnized between Us William Meakins, Rebekah Alexander. In the Presence of Thomas Meakins, Thomas Watton.

1767 Rebecca Meakins, daughter of William and Rebecca, was baptized in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. "1767. Meakins - Rebecca daughter of William & Rebecca 13 Mar." [3]

1768 William Meakins, son of William and Rebecca, was baptized in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. "1768. Meakins - William, son of William & Rebecca 18. Sep." [4]

1770 Charles-Mab Meakins, son of William and Rebecca, was baptized in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. "1770. Meakins - Charles-Mab, son of William & Rebecca 25. Mar." [5]

1770 "Charles-Mab, son of William & Rebecca" Meakins was buried on August at St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [6]

1777 Rebecca Meakins, wife of William, was buried on August 2 at St Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex. [7]

William Meakins and Mary Parker were married.

1802 William Meakins wrote his will on 15 April 1802. [8] [9]

This is the Last Will and Testament of me William Meakins of Havering in the County of Essex Farmer made in the time of my health and Strength of Memory First I desire to be buried at the Discretion of my Executors in the Church yard of Hornchurch in the said County and require my Executors herein after named to pay and Satisfy out of the residuum of my Estate and Effects all my just Debts, Funeral Expences, the Charges of proving this my Will and other incidental Expences attending the Execution thereof Whereas Daniel Parker the Father of my present wife Mary by his last will and Testament duly executed and attested did give and bequeath unto my said Wife and his Daughter Mary one third part of all and every his personal property and did direct his Executors therein named to place out this same at Interest and the product thereof to his Daughter Mary for and during her natural Life and also the will of the said Daniel Parker was that if I the said William Meakins the husband of his said Daughter Mary should happen to die before his said daughter then he desires the principal Sum should be put out and the Interest thereof should be then Solely and absolutely at her own disposal by will or otherwise and whereas the part and share of and in the said personal property of the said Daniel Parker deceased so bequeathed to my said wife amounted to the Sum of Four hundred and Sixty Eight pounds fifteen Shillings and eleven pence three Farthings and the same has been laid out by me in the purchase of Stock in the Five Pounds per centum Bank annuities for the Security of which I have given my Bond to William Neere since deceased who was the only Surviving Executor appointed in and by the will of the said Daniel Parker deceased who duly proved the same Now I do hereby give and bequeath to my said wife Mary the said sum of Four hundred and Sixty Eight Pounds Fifteen Shillings and Eleven pence three Farthings part of my Capital Stock in the said Five pounds per Centum Bank Annuities to be transferred to her immediately after my decease together with the dividends that may be therein due upon the same to and for her own use and Disposal according to the tenor and Effect of the said will of the said Daniel Parker Deceased and I so direct my Executors herein after nominated and appointed to apply to the Executors of the said William Neere deceased to have the said Bond Cancelled so given by me for the Security of the aforesaid Sum and not to transfer such Stock until the same is given up and cancelled as aforesaid Also I give and bequeath the annual Interest and Dividends of Five hundred pounds Stock in the five pounds per Centrum Bank annuities to my said wife for and during the term of her Natural Life and from and after the decease of my said wife I direct my Executors hereinafter named to pay assign and transfer two hundred and Fifty pounds stock part of the said Five hundred pounds Stock in the Five pounds per centrum Bank Annuities unto my Daughter Rebecca the wife of John Woodfine of Hornchurch aforesaid Brewer to and for hir own Sole use and Disposal indend out of the Debts Controll Management or Engagements of the said John Woodfine her husband and her receipt alone Notwithstanding hir covature shallbe a good and Sufficient discharge for the same Also at the Decease of my said wife I give and bequeath to my Son William Meakins the annual Interest and dividends of two hundred and Fifty pounds Stock residue of the said Fife hundred pounds Stock in the Five pounds per centum Bank Annuities for and during the joint Natural Lives of himself and his present wife Hannah and from and after the Decease of the said Hannah the wife of my said Son in his Lifetime then I direct my Executors to pay assign and transfer the said last mentioned principal Sum of two hundred and Fifty pounds in the five pounds per centum Bank Annuities unto my said Son William for his own use and benefit and in case of the death of my said Son in the Lifetime of his said Wife I give and bequeath the said principal sum of two hundred and Fifty pounds Stock to my Grand daughter Rebecca Meakins the daughter of my said Son William to be paid and transferred to her when she shall attain her age of twenty one years and the Interest Dividends and proceeds thereof to be applied appropriated and disposed of by my Executors in her cloathing Maintenance and Education during her Minority and in Case of the Death of my said Grand Daughter under the age of twenty one years my Son having departed this Life in the Life time of his said wife, I give and bequeath the same principal Sum of Two hundred and Fifty pounds Stock in the Five pounds per centum Bank Annuities unto between and amongst all and every the Children of my said Daughter Rebecca Woodfine as shall be living at the time of the decease of my said Grand Daughter Rebecca Meakins equally to be divided between them share and share alike and to be paid and transferred to them when and as soon as he she or they shall respectively attain his her and their age and respective ages of twenty one years the Interest Dividends and Proceeds of the part of share of such of them as shall not have attained such age at the decease of my said Grand Daughter Rebecca Meakins I do direct to be paid applied appropriated and disposed at his her and their maintenance cloathing and Education during such Minority and in case any Suit or Suits at Law or in Equity or otherwise whosoever shall be instituted by the said John Woodfine against my Executors or any other person or persons for or on account or in any way relating to the Bequests contained in this my will or any or either of them I order and direct that the whole chardge of defending such suit or suits shall be paid and Discharged out of the per centum annuities herein before given to the said Rebecca Woodfine my Daughter at the decease of my said wife and so authorize and empower my Executors to deduct and reimburse the same there out accordingly also to my Executors hereinafter named I give and bequeath Five pounds apiece of lawful British money for their Trouble in the Execution of this my will Also I give and bequeath to my said wife the residue of my monies in the Five pounds per centum Bank annuities and all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what Nature or kind so ever which I shall be possessed of interested in or credited to at the time of my decease and not otherwise disposed of by this my will and Lastly I do hereby invoke nominate constitute and appoint my Nephew Isaac Meakins of Hornchurch aforesaid and my Friend Mr. William Masterman of Havering aforesaid join Executors of this my will and hereby revoking all former wills by me made do publish and declare this to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I the said William Meakins the Testator have to the two sheets of this my Will Contained in three sheets of paper set my hand to this last Sheet thereof have set and affixed my hand and Seal this Fifteenth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and two and in the Forty Second year of the Reign of King George the third W Meakins Signed Sealed published and declared by the said testator William Meakins as and for his last will and Testament in presence of us; who at his Instance and in presence of him and of each other of us have hereunto Subscribed our Names as witnesses Thos Alexander Junr Willm Wall.
This Will was proved at London the twenty Seventh day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Seven before the Worshipful George Ogilvie Doctor of Laws ... of the prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oaths of Isaac Meakins the Nephew and William Masterman the Executors named in the said will to whom administration was granted of all and Singular the Goods Chattles and Credits of the said deceased having been first Sworn duly to adm.

1807 William Meakins was buried on March 22 in Hornchurch, Essex. "Burials ... 1807 ... Meakins, William Mar. 22." [10]

1807 The will of William Meakins was proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on April 27. [11] [12]

1810 Mary Meakins, widow of Havering, Essex, wrote her will on December 21. She asked to be buried in Hornchurch beside her late husband. She bequeathed several annuities: 150 pounds to William, Elizabeth and John Parker, children of her deceased brother Daniel Parker; 100 pounds to her brother's youngest son Joseph Parker; 150 pounds to her "nephew and niece" (grandchildren of her late husband) John Woodfine and Elizabeth Dole wife of John Dole; 200 pounds to Charles William Meakins son of William Meakins late of Havering. She appointed executors nephew Isaac Meakins and William Masterman. [13] [14]

1811 Mary, widow of William Meakins, was buried on November 23 in Hornchurch, Essex, England. "Burials … Meakins, Mary, aged 65 Nov 23rd." [15]

1811 The will of Mary Meakins was proved on November 28. [16] [17]
