1827 On 8 November, Barbara Hershey, spinster of Manheim Twp, Lancaster County, dated her will. Bequests were made to brother Christian Hershey and to John Eby, son of niece Mary Huber. The remainder of the estate was to be divided into seven equal shares for sister Esther, married to Jacob Shoemaker; sister Mary, married to John Long; sister Elizabeth Erb, widow; the children of sister Anna Frick, late deceased; sister Catharine, married to David Long; brother Abraham Hershey; and brother Christian. Brother Christian Hershey and Jacob Kurtz were named executors. Proved on 20 December 1828. [1]
