Notes for Ralph de Horbury

Sir Ralph de Horbury was steward to John earl de Warenne, certainly from 1248 to 1251. On 27 July 1247 he was exempted for life from being put on assizes, juries or recognitions. His eventual heirs, after the failure of issue of his two sons, were his daughters Eglantine or Rosamund, who married Reiner le Fleming of Wath-upon-Dearne, and abother daughter who married Nicholas de Wortley.
