Notes for Joshua Newbold

1708-9 On March 22, Joshua Newbold, of Chesterfield, Burlington County, gentleman, dated his will. Wife Hannah. Daughters Mary and Anna; son Joshua. Land, 300 acres, inherited from father Michael Newbold, plantation of 249 a., in said township, bought of Samuel Andrewes July 20, 1693, another plantation in the same township of 192 a., bought of Samuel Barnes. Personal property an agatt hilt rapier, a case of pistols, a scarlet coat. Executors the wife and brother Michael. Witnesses Thomas Revell, John Hollway. Proved November 29, 1709. [1]

1709 March 31. Inventory of the personal estate, £603.13.4, including a negro man and woman £100, 900 bushels of wheat at 45. 3d. the bushel, in bonds and book debts £110.17.7; made by Samuel Tayler, Nathan Allen and Thomas Potts. [2]
