Research Notes:

The two sources cited above [5] [6] suggest that Nicholas, son of Robert, son of William was the father of Nicholas, spouse of Joanna Barlow, as we show. Burke also reports that this Nicholas Eyre was father of Nicholas le Eyre of Hope, who married Joanna Barlow. [7]

This Nicholas Eyre, 31 Edw. III, has been shown speculatively as a son of William and the father of Robert, father of Nicholas (spouse of Joanna Barlow), but other sources suggest that there was no Robert between this Nicholas and Nicholas, spouse of Joanna Barlow. [8]
