Notes for Casper Schürch

Based on the current evidence, it is plausible that this Casper Schurch was the husband of Verena Burkhart. Casper and Verena were Mennonite. Listed here are two potential birth records for the husband of Verena Burkhart.

1657 Casper Schürch, son of Joseph Schurch and Elsbeth Güntlisberg, was born on April 9, 1657 in Sumiswald. He was baptized on April 9, 1657 in the Reformed Church, Sumiswald, Bern, Switzerland. [1][René Schürch suggests that this family was near a military center, an unlikely place for a Mennonite family to be living while Richard Warren Davis, in Research Report A7, 2005, provides evidence suggesting that it was a different family living at the military center]

1649 Casper Schürch was born to Jacob Schurch and Anna Mummenthaler on January 1, 1649. [2] We have assume that this Casper Schurch married Verena Burkhart.

See our genealogy page for Casper Schurch, born 1649. [3]

I don't know which, if either, parentage for Casper, the husband of Verena Burkhart is correct. Both parentages lead back to the same common ancestor in Switzerland.
