Kent in the tenure of the Abbot and Convent of Battle, of which the messuage, garden and 5 pieces (25a.) lie next to the lands of the Abbot and Convent called Angele to the E., W. and N., to the lands of John Godard and the lands of Robert Ward, chaplain, and the highway to the S., and the other piece of land called Bettenham field (10a.) abuts the highway to the S. and N., the lands of John Godard to the W., and the lands of Walter Robarth, esq. and of Gervase Hendle to the E.
