1603 Edward Revdell, gent. was on the oxgang list for Wingerworth, Tupton, and Onnston. [1]

1633 Edwardus Revell, Armiger, Jus[ticiarius], was a freeholder of Carnethwaite, Derbyshire. [2] [3]

1639 A funeral certificate for Francis Revell [4]:

Edward Reuell of Carnethwaithe al's Carlingthwaite in the parrish of South Normonton and County of Derby, Esqr, Departed this mortall life the fifte day of July, 1639, at Carlingthwaite aforesaid and was the same day interred within the parrish church of Normonton aforesaid within the Ile there belonging vnto his house. He maried Dorothy Da. to Roger Columble of Darley in the county of Derby, Esqr, widdow of Henry Chaworth of Annesley in the county of Nott., Esqr, and had yssue one sonne and one Da. vizt, Francis Revell his only sonne and heire who maried two wives, first Jane Da. to Peter Columbell of Darley in the the county of Derby, Esqr, by whom he had no yssue, 2dIy Anne eldest Da. to David Ellis of Lluuyne Lynviader in the county of Denbigh in Wales by whom he hath yssue Edward his eldest sonne, Mary Da. to the said Edward married to Randall Ashenhurst of Ashenhurst in the county of Staff. Esq'r. This Certificate was taken at Carlingthwaite aforesaid the vj th day of August, 1639, by John Newton, Gent., Deputy to the Office of Armes, and testified by Mr Francis Reuell only sonne and heire to the defunct. 1609 Final concord between Anthony Eyre, Edward Eyre, Edward Revell and Michael Payne plaintiffs, and John Molyneux deforciant of the manor of Teversall, 23 messuages, gardens and orchards, 20 cottages, 2000 acres of land, 500 acres of meadow, 1000 acres of pasture, 200 acres of wood, and common pasture for all animals in Teversall, Halton and Stanley, coal-mines in Stanley, and the advowsons of Teversall and Halton, Nottinghamshire. 1627 Surrender by Thomas Thorpe of South Normanton yeoman to Edward Revell of Carlingthweat Hall gent, brother and heir of George Revell deceased, of the premises in D37/MR/T/172 above. 5 May. [7]
