1845 "James Cromwell of the parish of St Sylvester Aged sixty eight died the nineteenth day of May eighteen hundred and forty five and was buried this twenty first day of the same month By me J Managan. James McNeight, Hugh Russell" at Leeds Mégantic Church. [1]

1832 The Cromwell family, relatives of Rachael Simons, arrived [in Canada] from Cortober [Ashfield Parish (Kildrumsherdan), Diocese of Kilmore, Co. Cavan, Ireland]. This party included widower James Cromwell, born 1777, and his children, Thomas Cromwell and wife Margaret Clements Wallace, and Jane Cromwell, single, age 28. ... All settled in St-Sylvestre.
