1813 On 4 January, at the Orphans' Court of Cumberland County, George Weise, son of George Weise of the Borough of Carlisle, having achieved age 14, petitioned the court to appoint Isaac Kauffman as guardian of the estate of Casper Kropp, his grandfather, during his minority. [1]

1816 George Wise and Polly Leonard were married on October 29 at the Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, Shippensburg, Cumberland County. [2]

1830 Geo C Weise lived in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania in a household with Males: 1 (age Under 5), 1 (age 5 thru 9), and 1 (age 20 thru 29); Females: 1 (age Under 5), and 1 (age 30 thru 39). [3]

1832-34 George Wise was listed on the triennial tax assessment in Carlisle with occupation wagon maker. [4]

1840 George Wise lived in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania in a household with Males: 1 (age 10 thru 14), and 1 (age 40 thru 49); Females: 1 (age 20 thru 29), and 1 (age 40 thru 49). [5] Samuel Crop (age 60-69) was listed nearby.

1850 George Weise (age 52, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania with George Weise (age 31), bricklayer, Ann Weise (age 25), James Weise (age 2), and Charles Weise (age 0). [6] The age of the younger George does not agree with the age of the son of George C listed in the 1830 census. George Crop (age 29) was listed nearby.
