Research Notes:

There were apparently several men named Aaron Quicksall whose notes are assembled below.

1746-1758 Aaron Quicksall was expelled from Quaker meeting for "going on an Expedition and taking up arms". [1]

1801 A. Quicksall and Abigail Shreve were married on January 18 by Isaac Cowgill in Burlington, New Jersey. [2]

1804 Aaron Quicksall and Rebecca Monnongton were married on September 3 by Thomas Adams in Burlington, New Jersey. [3]

1809 William Quicksall, son of Aaron and Rebecca Quicksall, born 1809, died July 5, 1874 in Burlington, New Jersey. [4]

1812 In April, Levi Budd sold the pothouse, kiln, and other buildings to Aaron Quicksall of Burlington for $800. Aaron Quicksall turned out earthenware pottery in Burlington for the next twenty-five years. [5]

1828 On May 24, Israel Biddle and William Gilbert made the inventory of the estate of Aaron Quicksall of Mansfield Twp, Burlington County, listing a variety of farming equipment. Affirmed by Joseph S Quicksall, administrator. [6]

1830 Aaran Quicksell lived in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey in a household with Males: 2 (age 15 thru 19), 1 (age 20 thru 29), and 1 (age 50 thru 59); Females: 1 (age 5 thru 9), 1 (age 10 thru 14), 2 (age 20 thru 29), and 1 (age 40 thru 49). [7]

1838 Aaron Quicksall died on March 12, at age 62 (suggesting born circa 1776), in Burlington County. [8] He was buried at Friends Burying Ground, Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey. [9]

1838 On 6 March, Thomas Woolman and Joseph Johnson made the inventory of the estate of Aaron Quicksall, of Burlington City, Burlington County, showing purse and apparel, $43; plate, $14, household goods & kitchen furniture, $298.89, and stocks in trade, $638.12. Total $994.01. Affirmed by William Quicksall, administrator. [10]

1838 The account of the estate of Aaron Quicksall, prepared by William Quicksall, valued at $199.60, was accepted at the February term Burlington County Orphans Court. [11]

1846 Charles Vansciver "purchased from the heirs of Aaron Quicksall all of the outhouse property and buildings for eighteen hundred dollars. The property was probably sold to settle the estate. Although it included only the property Aaron had bought from Levi Budd, the deed specifically mentions the pot house, kiln house, and other buildings. The two properties purchased by Aaron Quicksall from John Molyneaux in 1809, one of which may have included a pottery, were still retained by the heirs." [12]

1849 Benjamin Quicksall, unmarried potter, son of Aaron and Rebecca Quicksall, died 28 March 1849 in Burlington New Jersey. [13]

1864 Abigail (Shreve) Quicksall died on December 30 near Bordentown, New Jersey. [14]

1876 Joseph Quicksall, son of Aaron, died on 3 January, 1876 in Bordentown, Burlington County, New Jersey. [15]
