1230 There was a William le Walur commanding a merchant ship in Southampton:

1230 "May 9. De hiis qui venerunt cum navibus suis usque Portesmue, et transfretaverunt, et de licentia domini regis recesserunt.
Johannes Alwold de Rya cum nave sua venit ad primam transfretationem domini regis usque Portesmuth et cum domino rege transfretavit et postquam dominas rex applicuit apud Sanctum Maclovium, de licentia domini regis ad partes suas est reversa. Teste rege, apud Dinand, ix die Maii, anno regni domini regis xiiij.
Consimiles litteras habent omnes subscripti directas omnibus baillivis et fidelibus suis, videlicet:-- ... Navis Walteri le Flemeng de Suhamton, que vocatur la Heytee, quam Willelmus le Walur ducit." [1]

1230 "De licentia et condiictu navium.-- Sicut superius scribitur de navibus marinellorum, sic scribitur pro subscriptis videlicet pro nave que vocatur Waignepain, quam Nicholaus Ailbrictus ducit. Per Godefridum de Craucumbe. Pro nave que vocatur ... Quam Willelmus le Walur de Hethe ducit." [2]

A mid 13th century Rufford Charter (number 636) mentions land next to William Waller's land. [Rufford Charters, Vol. 2, p. 315]

c. 1240-1279 Willelmo le Walur of Hockerton was a witness to Rufford Charters, numbers 161 (mid 13th century), 162 (c. 1240-1279), 225 (1250-1257), 227 (1250-1257), 228 (1250-1257), 260 (1240-1261), 333 (1256-1275), 361(mid 13th century), 371(mid 13th century), 373 (mid 13th century) and 397 (1256-1268). 1278 "John le Botiler, 6 E. 1. r. impleaded William le Walur that he should do him service, and suit his court at Hockertun, and pay 2s. 9d. ob. for two bovates which the said William acknowledged to hold of him, but paid only 2s. 8d. for all service.---s. William le Walour had two sons, Walter and Henry, and a daughter Agatha. Walter had Henry." [Thoroton, op. cit. (see notes for Alured le Walur and his wife Adelina), p. 123]

1277-78 A William le Walur and Agnes his wife are mentioned in the Cartulary of St. Bartholomew's Hospital, London [A Calendar prepared by Nellie J. M. Kerling, London: Lund Humphries Publishers, 1973, p. 26] "Grant by Richard Mwchet to William le Walur, innkeeper, and Agnes his wife of a messuage in Cowbrigge St. between the tenement of Stephen de Slapeston in the N. and that of the hosp. of St Giles in the S., ext. from the high road to a tenement of Richard Mwchet. Rent: 6s. to SBH and one rose to Richard. Fine: 60s. Wit. Gregory de Rokesley, mayor of L., John Adrian, Nicholas de Wintonia, sherriffs of L., William de Farndon, ald., William Bedellus, Joyce de Fonte, William le Cwteler, Geoffrey de Fynchincfeld, Geoffrey de Holebrigg, Gilbert de Chendfeld, John de Westmelne, William Husebond." [1277-8, John son of John Adrian was sheriff of L., in 1277-8 but with Walter le Cornwaleis. Nicholas de Wintonis was sheriff in 1280-1 with William de Farendone.]

1283 Jan. 26 Quitclaim by Agnes (her seal is attached to the original deed), widow of William le Walur, inn-keeper, to SBH of her right to a tenement in Coubrygge, which she received from Richard Mochet. Wit. Henry le Waleis, mayor of L., Walter de Blont, sheriff of L., William de Farindon, ald., Jocelin Attewell, Willaim le Taillor, William Husbonde, John le Cantor, John le Barbor. [Ibid., p. 26]
