Notes for Nicholas de Depedene

A Nicholas de Depeden held land at Depeden in 1300, shown in the Inquisition Post Mortem for Edmund, Earl of Cornwall, quoted below. The timing would be about right for this Nicholas to be the son of the Nicholas de Depeden who paid a fine as a venison offender in 1280.

Several land transactions of an Adam Depeden occured in Middlesex at about the right time for Adam to have been a younger brother, cousin, or son of this Nicholas.
