The following transaction is mentioned in A Descriptive Catalogue of Ancient Deeds, Vol. II, London: Her Majesty's Stationery Office, 1894, p. 21:

Grant by Simon Marchal and Roysia his wife, daughter of the late Richard of Depedene, to William, the prior, and the canons of Holy Trinity, London, of 30d. yearly rent issuing from a tenement in the parish of St. Botolph without Alegate. Witnesses: Sir Ralph de Sandwuco, Warden of London, and others (named). Sunday after St. Alphege [April 19], 15 Edward I [1287].
This Richard lived at about the right time to be the father of brother of the Nicholas who was a venison offender in the 1270s.
