Notes for John Rogers

"John Rogers, the progenitor of this branch of the family in New Jersey from England [father of this John Rogers], was among the early settlers here. He had two sons, — Samuel and John. The latter purchased one hundred and fifty acres of land of John Middleton in Evesham, now Mount Laurel township, Burlington Co., N. J., the deed of which is dated 1725, and is now in possession of William D. Rogers. This property has been the family homestead since, a period of one hundred and fifty-seven years. " [1]
