Research Notes:

1821 On September 11, Christian Stoner appointed Ermin Elliott, of Franklin County, as attorney, to collect a debt due from Christian Stoner to Ermin Elliott for a wagon and team of horses that Christian Stoner had purchased from Elliott. Christian Stoner assigned part of his inheritance from father John Stoner, deceased, late of Bedford County. [1]

And whereas I am entitled to distribution share of the estate of my father John Stoner late of Bedford County deceased I do hereby to secure the payment of the said bonas assign transfer and let over to the said Ermin Elliott my right and interest in the said estate and distribution share as far as may be necessary to satisfy and discharge the said bonases and further I do hereby constitute nominate and appoint the said Ermin Elliot my attorney to sue for and recover the said distribution share as soon as may be from the administration of my said Father and apply as much of the proceeds thereof as may be necessary to discharge the said bonas …
