This John Bullock of Burlington is not the same man as John, born 19 May 1664 in Rehobeth, Massachusetts, son of Richard Bullock and his second wife Elizabeth Billington. That John Bullock died in Barrington, Rhode Island, in 1739. "Richard Bullock was born about 1622 (he deposed in July 1647 that he was about 25 years old), and he married first, at Rehobeth, 11 Aug. 1647, Elizabeth Ingraham who died 7 Jan. 1659, and by her he had six children, all recorded at Rehobeth. He died intestate near 22 Nov. 1667, date his inventory was taken." [40] [41] Richard Bullock, born in Essex County, England in 1622; lived in Newtown, Long Island in 1656; and died 1667 in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. [42]

The relationship of this John Bullock of Burlington to John Bullock of Hull, who came to America prior to 1710 and settled in Burlington County, New Jersey, and married Sarah Harrison as a second wife and had son Isaac married to Elizabeth Rockhill, is unclear. We show, with little evidence, John, father of Isaac, as the son of this John Bullock. [45]
