Lewis Torreyson, first wife Catherine Tavenner, m. Feb. 24, 1819 at Hamilton, Va. He was b. Jan. 20, 1797 near Baltomore, Md. and d. Jan. 15, 1877 at Martinsburg, Mo. Res. Hillsboro, Va. She was b. Sept. 27, 1803 and d. July 27, 1843; dau. of Richard and Ann (Hatcher).

1830 Lewis Torreyson lived in Hillsboro, Loudoun County, Virginia in a household with free white males: 1 (under 5), 2 (5 thru 9), and 1 (30 thru 39); and free white females: 1 (5 thru 9), 1 (10 thru 14), 1 (20 thru 29), and 1 (40 thru 49); and 1 slaves. [2]

1833 Lewis Torrison and Catharine his wife, late Catharine Taverner, were named in a chancery complaint in Alexandria County, Virginia.

1840 Lewis Torrison lived in Jonah Hood Twp, Loudoun County, Virginia in a household with males: 1 (under 5), 2 (5 thru 9), 2 (10 thru 14), 1 (15 thru 19), and 1 (40 thru 49); and females: 2 (under 5), 2 (15 thru 19), and 1 (30 thru 39). [4]

1843 Catharine Tavenner Torreyson died on July 27, 1843 (aged 39) and was buried at Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hamilton, Loudoun County, Virginia. Catharine Tavenner Torreyson was born on September 27, 1803. [5]

1845 Lewis Torrison and Rebecca Day were married on February 21, 1845, in Loudoun County, Virginia. "The parties are widower and widow". [6] [7] [8] [9]

1850 Lewis Torrison (age 54, born in Virginia) lived in Loudoun County, Virginia, in a household with Rebecca Torrison (age 42), Jas Torrison (age 21), Catharine Torrison (age 14), Chas Torrison (age 16), Betsey Torrison (age 13), Saml Torrison (age 9), and Thos Torrison (age 6). [10]

1854 Samuel Torrison, son of Lewis Torrison and Rebecca [sic] Torrison, died on May 28, in Loudoun County, Virginia at age 16. [11] [12] Samuel Torrison died and was buried on May 29, 1854 at Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hamilton, Loudoun County, Virginia. Samuel Torrison was born on October 30, 1838. [13]

1858 Catharine A. Torrison and Thaddeus W. Haines were married on October 25 in Loudoun County, Virginia. Catharine was a daughter of Lewis and Catharine Torrison. [14] [15]

1860 Lewis Torrison (age 63, born in Virginia) lived in Southern District, Loudoun County, Virginia, in a household with Rebecca Torrison (age 45), Elizabeth Torrison (age 23), Thomas N Torrison (age 18), and Hannah A Oddy (age 10). [16]

1870 Lewis Torison (age 70, born in Virginia) lived in Loutre Twp, Audrain County, Missouri, in a household with Rebecca Torison (age 58), Sarah Torison (age 14), and Jackson Torison (age 40). Lewis Torison's occupation was blacksmith. [17]

1877 Lewis Torreyson died on 15 Jan 1877 (aged 79) and was buried at West Cuivre Baptist Church Cemetery, Culiver, Audrain County, Missouri. Lewis Torreyson was born on January 20, 1797. The Findagrave memorial reported that Lewis Torreyson was born at Baltimore, Baltimore City, Maryland. The Findagrave memorial reported that Lewis Torreyson died at Martinsburg, Audrain County, Missouri. [18]

1880 Rebecca Torreyson (age 65, born in Virginia, widowed), mother, lived in Martinsburg Twp, Audrain County, Missouri, in a household with A. J. Torreyson (age 48), and Robt. L. Torreyson (age 23). Rebecca Torreyson's parents were both born in Virginia. [19]

1892 Rebecca Torreyson died on January 1, 1892 (age 90y) "Gone but not forgotten", and was buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Mexico, Audrain County, Missouri. The Findagrave memorial reported that Rebecca Day Torreyson was born on September 27, 1803 at Loudoun County, Virginia. The Findagrave memorial reported that Rebecca Day Torreyson died at Audrain County, Missouri. [20]
