1789 The road from the Falls Church to the road from the falls warehouse to Alexandria was repaired in Fairfax County, Virginia. The tithables (taxes) within the district included Nelson Reed and James Reed. [18]

1796 James Reed and Polly Griffin were married on March 7 in Fairfax County, Virginia. [19]

1797 James Reed was appointed surveyor of the road from the sycamore near the little falls warehouse to the river in Fairfax County, Virginia. Several people were appointed to work on the road. [20]

1797 The road from the falls Church to the little falls mentioned tythes (taxes) of Nelson, James, and John Reid (sic, Reed). [21]

1798 On May 21, James Reed resigned as overseer of the roads and Thomas Braden assumed the job. [22]
