Christian Meyer married first Magdalena Groff, daughter of Marcus Groff and Anna Groff. [2]

1783-1786 Christian Meyer would not bear arms as a preacher's son. [3]

1790 Christian Meyer lived at Earl Township, with no sons and seven females in his household. [4]

1795 The heirs of Christian Myer, deceased, of Earl Twp, Lancaster County, were involved in a land deed, dated April 21. [5]

Between Jacob Meyer of Leacock Township in the County of Lancaster in Pennsylv'a (he being one of the sons of Christian Meyer, late of Earl Township in the said County yeoman deceased) and Mary his wife of the one part and Christian Meyer and Abraham Johns, Both of Leacock Township in the s'd County yeomen, Samuel Grebill and John Sheffer, both of Earl Township said county yeomen of the other Part. The said Christian Moyer, Abraham Johns, Sam'l Grebill, and John Sheffer, being intermarried to Barbara, Maria, Magdalena and Elizabeth daughters of said deceased. Whereas the said Christian Meyer, in his life time, and at the time of his death in and by certain good conveyances and assurances in the Law Became rightfully seized and possessed of and in, a certain Tract of Land situate lying and being in the said Township of Leacock and County aforesaid … containing one hundred and sixty two acres … by his last will and testament in writing dated the 5th day of September An Dom one thousand and seven hundred and ninety four did amongst other things will and direct as follows. I give and devise unto the children of my daughter Anna the wife of Jacob Laske … I give and devise unto my eldest son Jacob Meyer … land hereinafter devised unto my four sons in law to wit the said Christian Meyer, Abraham Johns, Saml Grebill, and John ShefferHenry Butler …

Christian Meyer reportedly had eight children by his first wife. [6]

1804 On 13 August, Jacob Heatwohl, husband of Elizabeth, and Abraham Good, husband of Magdalena, two daughters of Christian Meyer, deceased of Earl Twp, Lancaster County, petitioned the Lancaster Orphans Court concerning three tracts of land. One tract of 150 acres included the mansion house of Christian Meyer, adjoining John Meyers, John Grebill, Joseph Reiff, Joseph Wenger, Abraham Grebill and others. A second tract, of 102 acres, about one mile from Hinkle Town, was adjoining Jacob Summa, James Vogan, Jonathan Roland, David Witwer, and others. A third tract of 42 acres was adjacent to the second tract and to Abraham Reiff, Christian Holl, Jacob Heetwohl, Daniel Witwer, and David Witwer. Christian Meyer, deceased, left surviving widow Christina, and nine children: eldest child Barbara, Elizabeth and Magdalena named above, Marry married to Samuel Hull, Francis married to John Rank, Susanna married to Frederick Diebler, and minors John, Catharine, and Ann. An appraisal was returned to the Orphans Court on 17 September. On 19 September, eldest Barbara expressed her desire to receive her share in money, rather than in land. The guardian of the eldest and only son, John Meyer, refused to accept any tract of land. Barbara Refused land. Jacob Heatwohl accepted the second tract in right of his wife. Abraham Good accepted the first tract. [8]
