The Revd Mr Jacob Omer was inducted Vicar of this Parish March 21 1746-7.
Died 31 Aug 1749 Aet [aetatis, (Latin) means at the age of] 32 & was buried at St. Mary's in Dover, where on his monument you have as in the margin, supposed put on by his 2nd wife Mary:
He was in his person amiable, in his conduct modest & engaging, to his friends sincere, to his Wifes constant & endearing
Such Graces, Omer, once adorned thy breast
And faith confirmed hast thy Soul to Rest
