1681 Peter Omer, son of Roger and Mary Omer, was baptized on October 17 at St John the Baptist, Margate, Kent England. [1]

1709 Elizabeth Huggett Omer died on November 26 and was buried in St. Peter's, Isle of Thanet, Kent. "On a antient tomb: 'Here lieth the body of Mrs. Elizabeth Omer, who died 26th of November, 1709, aged 30 years.'" [2]

1711-12 On 4 February, Peter Omer and Kath Bayley were married. [3]

1712-1714 Peter Omer appears in a list of the persons who are insured by and receive the British-Mercury from the Sun-Fire Office, London. In the second listing he is designated as Capt. [4]

1715 "Deal, March 17. Yesterday came in the Prince George, Captain Omer, from Leghorn." [5]

1722 "Out of fourteen Candidates which appeared at the South Sea House for Commanders of the Company's two new Sloops, the Directors have made the choice of Capt. George Jesson and Capt. Peter Omer." [6]

1722 Peter Omer, of Saint Mary Magdalen Bermondsey in Surrey, wrote his will on July 15. [7]

In the Name of God Amen I Peter Omer of Saint Mary Magdalen Bermondsey being in perfect health and memory thank be to God for it I make this my last Will and Testament in form and manner following aitem my Will and pleasure is that my Son Jacob Omer shall be in the care of my Loving Spouse Susanna Omer and n case of her death then my Will is that my said Son may be in the care of Margaret Neuton Senior and Captain Charles Martin his Guardians to take care of his Education from my desire is that no relation of mine may have any thing to doe about the management of my said Child in any degree whatsoever Item as touching my worldly concerns my Will is that One hundred pounds upon a Note to my Mother Jacob be first paid out of my rents as they become due and likewise One hundred and twenty pound upon bond to my Brother James Omer and fifty pounds upon a Note to my Brother Swinford - be bothe made good to them and next to them I order the deficient Sum of Six hundred pounds part of my former Wife Joynture be made good to the Trustees of my said Son Jacob Omer and then if any more remain to be equally divide to and amongst such child or children that I may have by my said Spouse Susanna and also the estate or Jointure of my former Wife in case my said Son Jacob Omer should dye before he comes to the Age of Eighteen my Executrice first paying two hundred pounds to my Neice Elizabeth Huggett as a Legacy and in case there be no Child or Children by my said Spouse Susannah then my Will in that my said Susanna shall have the disposall of all my my household goods and enjoy all my former Wifes Jointure during her natural Life and after her death to go and amongst Roger Omer my brother One quarter part and Roger Omer son of my Brother James Omer and in case of death to go to the next eldest Child of my said Brother James and to Robert James my Son in Law one quarter part and if my sister Swinford should have issue one quarter part to her first child and in case of death to bee to her next eldest child but if no issue remain then to go to and among Roger Omer and the other Roger Omer and Robert James Share and Share alike and doe desire my Cosin Margaret Neuton and Captain Charles Marten to accept of two Guineas apiece for a ring and do appoint my Loving Spouse Susanna my whole and Sole Executrice of this my last Will and Testament hereby revokeing all others having hereunto sett my hand and seal this fifteenth day of July One thousand Seven hundred and twenty two. 1722/23 Peter Omer's will was proved on 5 March 1722/23 in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, administration granted to his widow Susanna, executrix named in the will. [8]
