1685 On 13 October, Marmaduke Watson was born. [1]

1706 John King and Elizabeth Woodward were married on November 13, at Chesterfield. Witnessed by Marmaduke Watson and others. [2]

1706 John Black and Sarah Rockhill were married on December 4, at Chesterfield, Burlington County, New Jersey. Witnessed by Marmaduke Watson and others. [3]

1717/18 On 6 February, Marmaduke Watson and Elizabeth Pancoast, daughter of William, made their second declaration of intention to marry, as recorded in the minutes of the Chesterfield monthly meeting, Burlington County, New Jersey. [4] [5] [6]

1745 On 15 April, Marmaduke Watson, perhaps this one, was a freeholder in Chesterfield Township, Burlington County, New Jersey. [7]

1746 On 14th day, 3rd mo. (May). Marmaduke Watson, of Chesterfield, Burlington County, yeoman, dated his will. Wife, Elizabeth, personal estate and 3 negroes. Son, Aaron, tract lying between George Taylor and Amos Wilkins. Son, Marmaduke, plantation I now dwell on. Daughter, Ann Curtis, and her daughters Diademe and Elizabeth. Executors—wife, and son Marmaduke. Witnesses—John Butler, Sen'r, .John Butler, Jun'r. Proved July 24, 1749. Lib. 6, p. 308. [8]

1749 Marmaduke Watson died 1749. [9]

1750 Marmaduke Watson was listed among customers at Imlay's Store in Bordentown, New Jersey. [10]

1750 On 4 October, Joseph Borden and Elizabeth Watson declared their intention to marry. Joseph Borden was not yet in full unity with the friends. Joseph Borden married Elizabeth Pancoast Watson, widow of Marmaduke Watson. [11] [12] [13]

"Ann, daughter of Marmaduke Watson (born October 13, 1685, died 1749), and his wife, Elizabeth Pancoast, whom he married at Burlington Meeting, March 27, 1718. Marmaduke Watson was a son of Matthew and Anne (Manleverer) Watson, who emigrated from Scarborough, Yorkshire, prior to 1682, and settled in Chesterfield. Elizabeth Pancoast, wife of Marmaduke Watson, was a daughter of William Fancoast and his wife, Hannah, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Jarvis) Scattergood," [14]
