Death of a Prominent Citizen
Died, Nov. 27th, 1881, near Speelman's Mill, two and a half mile below selbysport, Mr. Isaac Frazee age 79 years, 8 months 24 days. My acquaintance with brother Frazee was limited, but I learn from those that knew him, that he was a good neighbor, a first class citizen and exemplified a good christian character. It was clearly seen how highly he was respected by the large concourse of people that came to the funeral and followed all that was earthly of Father Frazee, to its lasting place, there to wait the summons from on high. Brother Frazee was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, for fourty years, and during the greater part of that member of the Quarterly conference. He is no more; the weary wheels of life stood still; he is released from the toils and ills of life, and enjoys the rest that remains for the people of God. While he left to his children some of this worlds goods, he left them a legacy that is worth more than riches of earth, a well exempilified Christian character. They appreciated his religious example, and followed Christ. They felt sad at parting with a kind father, but knowing he had lived the alloted time for man to live, they realized that to die was gain for him. while they have lost a loving father he has gained his sought rest.
