c 1758 Jacob Bender's birthyear is inferred from the tax records below, assuming he was the second Jacob Bender listed.

1779 Jacob Bender was taxed 137 pounds 11 shillings 8 pence in Menallen Twp, York County, Pennsylvania for 261 acres, 5 horses and 5 cattle. [1] A second Jacob Bender PhD [patent holder?] with 1 horse was taxed 20 pounds. [2]

1780 Jacob Bender was taxed 100 pounds 13 shillings 4 pence in Menallen Twp, York County, Pennsylvania for 270+873 acres, 105 horses and 24 cattle. Another Jacob Bender was taxed 10 pounds (no assets listed).

1781 Jacob Bender [Bander] was taxed 8 pounds in Menallen Twp, York County, Pennsylvania for 275 acres, 4 horses and 3 cattle. A second Jacob Bander with 1 horse was taxed 2 pounds 10 shillings.

1803 On May 2, Conrad Bender was born to Jacob and Elisabeth Bender, recorded at Upper Bermudian Church, Huntington Twp, Adams County. [3]

1814 On 12 April, Jacob Bender was a warrantee for 100 acres in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. [4]

1841 Jacob Bender of Reading Twp, Adams County, Pennsylvania, dated his will on March 18. The will named wife Elizabeth and children Mary, Sarah, and Henry and grand-daughter Elizabeth, who were to live on the farm for a year after Jacob's death. Another list of children named Elizabeth, Mary, Ephraim, Sarah, Leah, and Henry. Friend Michael Geiselman Senr and son-in-law George Bushy were named as executors. The will was affirmed on June 2.
