Research Notes: Jacob Dennis, son of Charles, and Jacob Dennis, son of Samuel Dennis, both might have lived in Shrewsbury Twp, Monmouth County at the same time, so it is difficult to distinguish them in documents.

c 1738 Jacob Dennis was named vestryman for the Church of Christ of Shrewsbury. [1]

1750 Jacob Dennis witnessed the will of George Hulett of Shrewsbury Twp, Monmouth County, New Jersey. [2]

1753 Jacob Dennis prepared the inventory for the estate of James Grover of Middleton Twp, Monmouth County, New Jersey. [3]

1753 On 6 September, Jacob Dennis witnessed the will of Elizabeth Allen, widow of George, of Shrewsbury Twp, Monmouth County, New Jersey. [4]

1754 On 22 March, Jacob Dennis witnessed the will of David Allen, of Shrewsbury Twp, Monmouth County, New Jersey. [5]

1754 Jacob Dennis witnessed the will of Samuel Osborn of Shrewsbury Twp, Monmouth County, New Jersey. [6]

1760 On 12 February, Jacob Dennis witnessed the will of John Corliss, of Shrewsbury Twp, Monmouth County, New Jersey. [7]

1760 Jacob Dennis, of Goodluchin, Monmouth County, perhaps this one, dated his will on 30 December. Int. Bond of Joseph Bullock [perhaps mother Elinor's half-brother] as Adm'r; Joseph Reckless fellowbondsman, both of Burlington County, gents. [8]

1769 Jacob Dennis, of Shrewsbury, Monmouth County, died. [9]
