1933 Jesse P Reed and wife lived in Wakarusa, Indiana on the Reed homestead. [1]
1959 An obituary for Jesse P. Reed reported [2]:
Reed, Jesse P., son of Noah W. and Cathrine (Pepple) Reed; born April 9, 1888, at Elkhart, Ind.; passed away Jan. 13, 1959, at his home in Wakarusa, Ind.; aged 70 y. 9 m. 4 d. On Nov. 12, 1910, he was married to Beulah Berkey, of Wakarusa, Ind., who survives. Surviving also are their 3 children (Louise- Mrs. Harold Miller, Elkhart; Carl, Bremen; and Anna Mae- Mrs. Harvey Moneyheffer, who lives on the home farm), 7 grandchildren, a brother (Charles E., Leonardville, Kans.), and a sister (Anna- Mrs. David Kilmer, Wadsworth, Ohio). A brother and a sister preceded him in death. He was a member of the Brethren Church. Funeral services were held at the Union Center Church of the Brethren, Jan. 16, conducted by Rose Noffsinger and Charles Goss; burial in adjoining cemetery.
