Notes for Martin Weigle

1765 Johan Martin Weigel, child of Johan Martin Weigel and Anna Catharine Weigel, was born on January 22, 1765 and was baptised on July 21, 1765 at Salem Lutheran (Union), Lutheran church, Dover, York County, Pennsylvania. Sebastian and Catharine Weigel were sponsors. [1]

1785 On 18 April, Martin Weigel, perhaps this one, was a private on the muster roll for Captain Herman's company of the York County Militia. [2]

1800 Two Martin Weigel families lived in West Manchester Twp, York County, Pennsylvania (age 45+). [3] [4]

1822 On 2 December, the will of Martin Weigle was proved in West Manchester Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. The will was dated 3 September 1804 and named wife Margaret; daughters Catherine, Margaret, Elizabeth, Christina, Magdalena, Susanna; and sons Jacob, Henry, Peter, and Martin. A codicil, dated 3 May 1816, reported that son Jacob had died. Sons Henry and Peter Weigle were named executors. [5]
