1880 Noah Christophle (age 25, born in Indiana, married) lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Elisabeth Christophle (age 20). Noah Christophle's father was born in Pennsylvania and his mother was born in Virginia. [4]

1884 Elizabeth (Lizzie) Weaver Christophel died on September 2 and was buried at Yellow Creek Brick Cemetery, Elkhart County, Indiana. Elizabeth Weaver Christophel was born on November 14, 1859. [5] [6] [7]

1900 Noah E. Christophel and Mary E. Krantz Smoker were married on January 18 in Livingston County, Illinois. Noah was the son of Jno M. Christophel and Elizabeth J. Reed. [8] [9]

1920 Noah E Christophel (age 65, born in Indiana, married) lived in Strasburg Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Mary E Christophel (age 56), Ada G Christophel (age 15), and J Noah Christophel (age 12). Noah E Christophel's father was born in Ohio and his mother was born in Virginia. Noah E Christophel could read and write. Noah E Christophel was a gardener. [10]

An obituary reported [17]:

Christophel - Noah E, son of John N and Elizabeth (Reed) Christophel, aged 81, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Jacob Good. He had been confined to his bed 14 months, following an injury received in a fall. He was born July 22, 1854, in Elkhart Co, Ind. His first wife, Elizabeth (Weaver) Christophel, whom he married Sept 7, 1879, died Sept 2, 1884. To this union two children were born - George, who died in infancy, and Ira, who lives eight miles south of Elkhart. On Jan 18, 1900, he was married to Mary E Smoker of Lancaster County, Pa, who died Feb 19, 1921. To them were born 2 sons (Wayne and John Noah) and a daughter (Mrs Ada Good). There were 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; a brother (Jacob Christophel), and 3 sisters (Sarah Christophel, Mrs Hannah Smith and Mrs Harriet Blosser, all of near Wakarusa). Funeral services were held at the Yellow Creek Church, where the deceased was a member, in charge of Bro D A Yoder.

1959 Son Ira Christophel, widowed, died on December 18, at age 77, in Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana. He was born on February 27, 1882, in Elkhart County, Indiana, son of Noah E. Christophel and Lizzie Weaver. [18]

1995 Grandson Harold M. Christophel died on March 18 and was buried at Memorial Park Cemetery, Calhoun County, Michigan. Harold M. Christophel was born on June 11, 1912. [21] [22]
