1881 Reuben M. Lehman was born on October 10. [1]

1908 Reuben M Lehman, son of Peter Y Lehman and Lydia Good, married Ivy Inez Hartman on January 15, 1908 in Elkhart County, Indiana. [2]

1918 Reuben M Lehman, born October 10, 1881, lived in Goshen, Elkhart, Indiana when he registered for the draft. He was married and was a traveling salesman for the Goshen Lightning Rod Company. [3]

1920 Reuben Lehman (age 38), salesman, and Ivy I Lehman (age 36) lived in Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana with son Herbert H. Reuben (age 4 3/12) and boarder Ida L Eby (age 38). [4]

1930 Reuben Lehman (age 48), lightning rod salesman, and Ivy I Lehman (age 46) lived in Elkhart Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana with son Herbert H. Reuben (age 14) and Kenneth M (age 9). [5]

1931 Ivy Inez Lehman, daughter of Jacob Hartman and Alwelda Farrington, and spouse of Reuben M Lehman, died on September 13, 1931 in Elkhart, Elkhart County, Indiana. [6]

1931 Ivy Inez Lehman died and was buried at Violett Cemetery, Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana. [7] An obituary reported [8]:

Mrs Ivy Inez Lehman, 44, wife of Reuben M Lehman, died at 2 am Sunday at their home at Fairlawn, four miles south of Goshen, after a three years' illness of paralysis.

She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Jacob Hartman and was born at Nappanee. She married Reuben Lehman in 1908. They had resided at Fairlawn for the past seven years, moving there from Goshen. Mrs Lehman was a member of the Congregational Christian church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Herbert and Kenneth, her step-mother, Mrs Osa Hartman, of Nappanee, two brothers, Melvin, of Plymouth, and Russell, of Nappanee, and a sister, Mrs Floyd Slabaugh, of Elkhart.

Funeral services were held at 10 am Tuesday at the home and at 10:30 am at the Congregational Christian church. The Rev A H. Hook officiated. Burial was made in Viloett cemetery.

1932 Reuben M Lehman married Lillie Schrock Troyer, both second marriages, on September 25, at Elkhart, Indiana. [9]

1940 Reuben Lehman (age 58) and Lillie Lehman (age 41) lived in Elkhart Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana with son Kenneth M (age 19). [10]

1957 Reuben M Lehman died and was buried at Violett Cemetery, Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana. [11] An obituary reported [12]:

Word was received here Saturday of the death of Reuben M Lehman, 77, formerly of Goshen who retired to Sarasota, Fla, five years ago.

He is the brother of Harrison Lehman of here.

He suffered a heart attack Friday night and died early Saturday. Services were in Sarasota Sunday. The body will be returned to Goshen for services and burial.

Mr Lehman was born in Elkhart county and lived most of his life in Goshen. His first wife, the former Miss Ivy Hartman, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his second wife, Lillie; two sons, Dr Kenneth M Lehman, of Topeka and Herbert of Palm Springs, Calif; two brothers, Noah of St Petersburg, Fla, and Harrison of Wakarusa; three sisters, Mrs Amos Hartman of Middlebury, Mrs Marion Stutzman of Lakeland, Fla, and Mrs Luella Huber of White pigeon, Mich; two nephews, and six grandchildren.

1986 Lillie M Lehman, child of Noah Schrock and Rebecca Eash, died on April 28, 1986 at LaGrange Twp, LaGrange County, Indiana. Lillie M Lehman was born on November 09, 1899. Kenneth Lehman, MD, son, was the informant. [13]
