Lillian E. Applegate, 79 Union City, Ind. - Former Union City resident Lillian E. Applegate, 79, died Saturday in her home in Auburn after a long illness. Mrs. Applegate, who was born in Darke County, Ohio, retired in 1988 as a recreational therapist from Betz Nursing Home in Auburn. She was a former employee of Union Trust Co., Union City. Survivors include a sister, Barbara Wright, Winchester, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1 a.m. today in McComb, Dilgard & Cline Funeral Home, Auburn. Burial will be in New Lisbon Cemetery, Union City. Memorials may be sent to the DeKalb County Cancer Society.
