1850 John River (age 40, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Noble, Noble County, Indiana, in a household with Nancy River (age 40), Christian River (age 16), John River (age 14), Jacob River (age 11), David River (age 9), Mary River (age 7), Eli River (age 5), and Elizabeth River (age 2). John River's occupation was farmer, Agriculture. [1] [2]

1850 Jane Baney (age 9, born in Ohio) lived in Noble Twp, Noble County, Indiana, in a household with George Baney (age 41), Eliza Baney (age 13), Henry Baney (age 7), and Louisa Baney (age 3). [3]

1859 Christian River and Jane Baney were married on February 17, in Noble County, Indiana by Rev Peter Winebrenner. [4] [5] [6]

1860 Christian River (age 26, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Noble, Noble County, Indiana, at post office Wolflake, with Orilla J River (age 18), and George W River (age 4/12). [7] [8] [9] [10]

1860 Son George Washington Rivir died on August 25 and was buried at Sanford Cemetery near Burr Oak, Noble County, Indiana. [11] [12]

1860 Luisa Shupert (age 10, born in Indiana) lived in Benton, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Eli Shupert (age 43), Emeline Shupert (age 33), Sylvester Shupert (age 7), and Charles Shupert (age 6/12). [13] Perhaps Luisa would become the second wife of Christian Rivir.

1865 Aurelia Rivir, wife of Christian Rivir, died. Aurelia is buried at Sanford cemetery south of Burr Oak in Noble County Indiana with inscription "Aurelia J (w/o C S Rivir) Died Aug 4, 1865 21Ys 7Ms 12Ds". [14] [15] [16]

1866 Christian S Rivir and Mary Louisa Shupert were married on June 8 by Mr. Bair in Lagrange County, Indiana. [17] [18] [19]

1869 Louisa Shuperd, age 22, and Lewis S Smith were married on July 27 in Kent County, Michigan. Louisa Shuperd was born in Elkhart County, Indiana. [20]

1870 Louia Shupert (age 22, born in Indiana) lived in Paris, Kent County, Michigan, in a household with Eli Shupert (age 52), Emeline Shupert (age 42), Syvester Shupert (age 16), Charles Shupert (age 11), Rosabelle Shupert (age 6), Rosamond Shupert (age 6), and Oliver Morton (age 3). [21]

1870 Christian River (age 36, born in Pennsylvania), carpenter, lived in Noble, Noble County, Indiana, at post office Brimfield, with John River (age 62), Nancy River (age 63), Nancy River (age 18), and Malissa River (age 9). [22] [23]

Christian Rivir was working with Hannah's first husband, Robert Hardy, on an expansion of the Merriam Christian chapel when scaffolding collapsed killing Hannah's first husband.

1872 Christian S. Rivir was married to widow Hannah (Eyers) Hardee on June 21, by Rev Peter Winebrenner. [24]

1874 The home of a Christian Rivir was in northeast section 24 of Noble Township, Noble County [25].

1874 The Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana landowners atlas shows C Rivir in north east section 7 [26], possibly this Christian born 1834 or his uncle born 1810.

1876 Christian S Rivir and wife Hannah purchased land in Noble County, Indiana from Conrad and Sarah Nicodemus.

Christian and Hannah went to Kansas. They left Hannah's two children by Robert Hardy in Indiana with Abraham Ott and other family.

1880 Christian S River (age 44) and wife Hannah B (age 32) and son Coralla V.H. (age 7) lived in Nelson, Cloud County, Kansas where Christian was a farmer. Hannah and her parents were born in Canada, Christian and his parents were born in Pennsylvania, Coralla was born in Indiana. Their household included 2 farm workers and a painter. [27] [28] [29]

Christian and Hannah separated. Hannah went back to Indiana. She lived in South Whitley.

1900 Christian S Rivir (born May 1834) lived in Cloud County, Kansas. He was divorced and was a carpenter who had not worked for 10 months in the last year. [30] [31]

1900 Hannah B Dohner (born in Canada in Mar 1848, married for 7 years), wife, lived in Cleveland Twp, Whitley County, Indiana, in a household with Joshua Dohner (age 67). Hannah B Dohner's parents were both born in Canada. [32]

1910 C S Rivir (age 75, born in Pennsylvania, widowed) lived in Concordia Ward 3, Cloud County, Kansas. C S Rivir's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. C S Rivir could read and write. [33]

1915 CS River (age 81) and C V River (age 45) lived at Cloud County, Kansas. [34]

1919 Christian S Rivir died on December 11 and was buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Cloud County, Kansas. [35] [36]

Dies Result of Fall.

L. S. Rivir, 86, for 40 years a resident of Cloud county died at the home of his son, C. V. Rivir, near Ames, of injuries received when he fell on the icy pavement. He was born in Pennsylvania in 1833.

He lived in Concordia for 30 years. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 p. m from the C. V. Rivir home near Ames. Rev. Coats, of Rice, will officiate.

Interment will be made in Walnut Grove cemetery.

1924 Hannah Dohner, widowed, daughter of Henry Eyer and Mary Eyer, spouse of Josiah Dohner, died on June 29, 1924, at age 76, in Cleveland Twp, Whitley County, Indiana. Hannah Dohner was born on March 14, 1848, in New London Canada. [39]

1924 Hannah B Eyer Hardy Rivir Dohner died on June 29, 1924 and was buried at South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley, Whitley County, Indiana. [40] [41]

1953 Melissa J Bauchman, widowed, died on March 6, at age 91, in West Lake, Noble County, Indiana. She was born on April 19, 1861, in Noble County, Indiana, daughter of Christian River and Jane River. [42]
