Miller, George Peckham 1858 - 1931: lawyer, businessman, born Milwaukee. He graduated from Gettysburg (Pa.) College (BA., 1877) and the Univ. of Gottingen (J.U.D., 1880). He was admitted to the bar in 1881, and practiced law in Milwaukee until his death. Miller was also president of the T. A. Chapman Co. (1893-1931), and held directorships in several other large Milwaukee business and financial establishments. He was a member (1913-1931) and chairman (1916-1931) of the Milwaukee Sewerage Commission and a member of the Metropolitan Sewerage Commission (1921-1931).
