Notes for John Bowman

1812 On March 10, the heirs of Jacob Bowman, deceased, sold land that Jacob Bowman had purchased from John Edwards on December 20, 1735. Jacob Bowman's will, dated November 3, 1769, indicated that his estate should be shared equally among his heirs. Christian Bowman, son of Jacob, purchased part of the land from Jacob Bowman, John Bowman, Peter Bowman, Henry Bowman, Martin Bowman, Freney Bowman, & John Bear. [1]

John Bowman, born 1764, has been reported with two different death times. We seek clarification about which, if either, was a son of Jacob Bowman and Veronica Dunker:

1804 John Bowman died in September, 1804 in Franklin County, Virginia.

1836 Johannes Bowman died on July 29 and was buried at Pine Grove Mennonite Cemetery, Bowmansville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [2]
