Horden, & John Henley; feoffment of the Manor or Tenement of Wyllegh als. Wyllye, formerly Ralph Shosewells & lately had of the feoffment of Roger Shosewell, Clk. his Son. [1]

Rector of Crowhurst to William Saunders of Goudhurst, John Cunthorpe Clk., Sir Henry Ferrers Knt., William Morland Clk., Vincent Finche of Sandhurst, John Horden of Goudhurst, John Westburne of Battell, William Hede of Yalding, Edward Horden & John Henley; Release of right in all lands & tenements in Ticehurst and Wadhurst. 1479 October 1 Grant by John Reignold, John Knyght, Thomas Atte Noke, & William Lynderegge, to William Saunders, John Gunthorp, Sir Henry Ferrers Knt., William Morland, Vincent Finch, John Horden, John Westburn, William Hede, Richard Skypton, Edward Horden & John Henley; Grant of the Manor or Tenement of Wyleigh in payment by the same William Saunders of "secclecim libras." [3]

1479/80 February 12 Feoffment by John Shosewell, of Echyngham, son and heir of William Shosewell; to William Saundres, Edward Horden, of Goutherst, and John Henley, of Cranebroke. 2 pieces of land in Wadhurst called Mosehames. This deed was found in 1956 loose and uncatalogued in Parcel 5 and it has been placed between SAS-CO/1/20 and 21 where it seems more appropriate. [4]

1486 June 20 Grant by John Smythe, clerk, rector of Peasmarsh, to John Horden and his son Edward Horden. A messuage with the buildings upon it, two gardens, six pieces of arable, a grove and a lane adjoining at Dalehill in Ticehurst called The Homefelde Coupersfelde, Middylfelde, Longefelde, Hasylfelde, Bromefelde and Hasyll Grove. Which formerly belonging to William Payne of Goudhurst [in Kent], and which JS and John Chaumber (who released to him) purchased, with other lands and tenements, from Thomas Cole, citizen and skinner of London, deceased. W: William Saunders, William Roper, John Ryngden, Robert Crotunden, William Frankewell; at Ticehurst. [5]

1501 April 6 Release by Vincent Fynche of Sandhurst Gent., William Hede, Gent. & Edward Horden; Release of right to William Saunders in full possession of the Manor or Tenemt. of Whiligh lately with the said William Saunders & also John Gunthorp, Sir Henry Ferrers, William Morland, John Horden, John Westburne, Richard Skyton, & John Henley now decd. had of the feoffment of John Reignold & others beforementioned. 1507/8 Jan 16 Grant by John Hales, John Courthop, Gervase Hendle and Henry Patynden to Edward Horden of Goudhurst [in Kent] All the lands and tenements in Ticehurst and elsewhere in Sussex in which, with other lands and tenements, they were lately enfeoffed by EH. John Pekham of Goudhurst attorney to deliver seisin. Relates to a messuage and land called Homefield and other land at Dalehill; for a recital of this deed see DUN 2/42. [7]

1508 May [1]3 Grant for £40 in instalments by Edward Horden of Goudhurst [in Kent] to William Hunte of Ticehurst. A messuage with the buildings upon it, three gardens, six pieces of arable, a grove and a lane at Dalehill in Ticehurst, called Homefeld, Coupersfeld, Midelfeld, Longefeld, Hasylfeld, Bromefeld and Hasylgrove (E, N: lands of Thomas Hunte and John [document torn]; S, E: lands of Thomas Boleyn, esq; W, S: lane at Dalehill and a small piece of land of Robert Couper). Which EH lately had by the demise of his feoffees John Hales, Gervase Hendle, John Co[urth]ope and Henry Patynden [on 16 Jan 1508 - see DUN 5/3], and which he formerly had, jointly with his deceased father John Horden, by the feoffment of John Smyth, clerk, rector of Peasmarsh [on 20 Jun 1486 - see DUN 2/32] Of the consideration, £10 has been paid, and £30 is to be paid in annual instalments of £5 at Ticehurst church on St George's day. W: William Roper of Quedley, his sons John and Thomas, John Shefe, Thomas Holgyll, John Holgyll, Robert Couper, William Smyth, Henry Ongle; at Ticehurst. Endorsed: lands held of Mr Michelborne and charged with wardship and heriot. [8]
