1769 John Rorea Sr (150 acres), Jacob Rorea (150 acres), Christian Rorea (100 acres), and John Rorea Littel (200 acres), were taxed in Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [2] [3] John Rorer, Jacob Rorer, John Rorer, and Jacob Rorer were listed as freemen. [4]

There were several John Rohrer families living in Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County at about the same time. We have found DNA matches with John Rohrer (1740-1805), who died in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Other researchers suggest that he was a son of Johannes Rohrer and Elizabeth Snaveley.
