1933 Emanuel Rohrer, married, son of Joseph J. Rohrer and Harriet Rohrer, spouse of Mary Robrer, died, at age 73y 8m 12d, on June 9, 1933, in R R, Elkhart County, Indiana. Emanuel Rohrer was born on September 27, 1859, in Elkhart County, Indiana. [33]

1933 Emanuel Rohrer's obituary reported [36] [37]:

County Board Member Dies - Emanuel Rohrer, 73, Elkhart county councilman-at-large since January, 1931, a native and lifelong resident of Harrison township, died at 11:30 o'clock Friday forenoon at his home at Southwest, eight miles south of Elkhart. An attack of the influenza last March weakened his heart, and two wekes [sic] ago he suffered a heart attack. He had been confined to his bed since that time, experiencing another attack last Sunday. Mr. Rohrer was the second member of the county council to be taken by death since their election of the democratic ticket in November, 1930... Mr. Rohrer, who was the son of Joseph and Harriet Rohrer, was married to Miss Mary Roose in October, 1895. They then located on the farm at Southwest, where they have lived ever since. For half a century Mr. Rohrer was a member of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ church at Southwest, and for a number of years he was a deacon of the church. Surviving beside Mrs. Rohrer are four sons - Roy, west of Wakarusa, Glade and Harold, of Wakarusa, and Joseph, west of Goshen; nine grandchildren, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs Elizabeth Neterer, Mrs. Louise Doering and Josiah and Isaiah Rohrer. The funeral will be held Sunday, with a service at the home at 1:15 p.m. (cst), followed by further services at the Yellow Creek Brick church, in charge of the Rev. Charles Wright. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Members of Mr. Rohrer's Sunday school class will serve as pallbearers. The six members of the county council will select Mr. Rohrer's successor...

1942 Mary Rohrer, widowed, daughter of Silas Roose and Harriett Roose, spouse of Emanuel Rohrer, died, at age 71y 8m 26d, on October 17, 1942, in Goshen Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana. Mary Rohrer was born on January 21, 1871, in Indiana. [38]

1942 Mary A. Roose Rohrer died and was buried at Yellow Creek Brick Cemetery, Southwest, Elkhart County, Indiana. Mary A. Roose Rohrer was born in 1872. [39] [40]
